Place of Hope: Faith-Based Family Style, Child Welfare Organization
www.placeofhope.com
Place of Hope is a refuge for children who would otherwise be placed in the foster care system and possibly separated from siblings. The organization provides individual cottages or homes where healthy family care, comprehensive case management, therapy, counseling, tutoring, mentoring and educational, physical and spiritual development are readily available for each child. Essential life-skills training, healing and restoration is provided with live-in cottage parents. The Place of Hope parents have no more than 6 children per house, utilizing a traditional family setting. Place of Hope also has an emergency shelter for children who are removed from their homes by the State of Florida, a transition program into the required Independent Living program where they can successfully reach their personal goals and God-given talents. Pre and post adoptive support groups are offered along with post reunification family support. Recruitment and training of potential foster or adoptive families is also an on-going process. Affordable housing is also made available for youth who have “aged-out” of the state’s foster care system (18 years old) for 18-25 year olds.

For women who choose to parent, First Care provides pregnancy support through medical referrals and parenting classes. They also provide information on adoption for clients who want to carry their child, but aren’t ready to parent.

Café Padrino

Missions Frontier is proud to offer Café Padrino. Café Padrino is a shade grown coffee in Guatemala. The plantation is settled at the base of a volcano where it receives the perfect amount of rain and benefits from the rich volcanic soil. It is a high quality coffee that has been in the same Guatemalan family since the 1800’s. Missions Frontier is proud to help with the sale of Café Padrino, removing the coffee broker. This enables the plantation to provide better housing, health care and education for their family while providing higher wages for their employees. Missions Frontier understands that the path to Global economic stability must foster independence in third world countries, bringing them to the bigger markets. Buy it for individual enjoyment, gifts or as a fund raiser! Your children’s teachers will love Café Padrino!
